Hop Brook - Seasons of the Stream (2019 - 2023)

Acrylic on canvas paintings, capturing the moods of different seasons, inspired by the pristine stream in the woods behind my house, the Hop Brook.

This robust riparian corridor is a regional treasure, with its interrelated woodlands, wetlands, meadows, and wildlife, all of which are under the continuing pressures of corporate development interests.

In these paintings I attempt to capture the magical energy of this living and flowing wonder of a brook and its interrelated ecosystems.
