Silver Spring, Maryland (1989-1991)

In Silver Spring, while working in Washington, DC, I began experimenting with acrylics, which I hadn't touched since high school, after only doing pencil sketches and watercolors periodically in earlier years.

These paintings are acrylics on canvas board or canvas mat or stretched canvas. Most are 24" x 30", but my first "jumbo" painting of the mountains ("Montana - Down the Rapids") was 42" x 32", inspiring others to come!
